BMW i8 Exterior look and style
With styling unlike anything else in the world of exotic-performance cars, the BMW i8 exterior is as much a fashion statement as it is a thrill ride.
An exercise in ultra-contemporary design, it features expressive front and rear treatments that stretch wide and low to convey a supercar-like stance that is further emphasized by stylized LED headlights and a black translucent V-shaped element that extends back from the grille to the windshield.
The i8 is a truly unique looking car with a very low hood thanks to the electric motor and mid-mounted combustion engine. It has the usual BMW kidney grille design but on this car, the two panels are closed off for aerodynamic purposes.
The side profile of the BMW i8 exterior has swooping lines that join up at the rear of the car where “U” shaped LED lights differ to most BMW models. The flying buttresses and various scoops look incredible, while 20-inch alloy wheels fill the arches in staggered widths.
